A spectacular hand woven (on a narrow back-strap loom worn around the back of the body and extended using the feet) traditional Chin tribal textile shoulder wrap from Burma. Striking dark brown geometric woven cotton pattern on a tan hemp support. The material has quite a sturdy hand feel to it and is somewhat rigid. This is partly due to it's new and unwashed condition and with use it will undoubtedly soften. Great for pillows or bags. Equally fetching as a table runner or tapestry. 

My personal M.O. with weddings is to not bring a gift, claiming to whomever will listen (mostly myself) that it is perfectly acceptable and that one indeed has a year from the date of the wedding in which to procure and consign a gift. I then willfully forget about it and hope that the wedded couple, in their first year of bliss, do as well. My point is, if you don't want to be a wily ingrate like me, this Chin item makes a thoughtful and unusual present.
