The fabric is soft and supple with a pronounced fabric "grain" that you can feel and gives a rustic sense. This is due to a fairly large diameter yarn used in the weaving. Elegant and luxurious soft, pale hue.

Note that the the color of the yardage has gradations due to the handmade and organic dye nature of the fabric. There are bands of slightly lighter colored fabric that present themselves randomly. They can be either the boon or the bane of the fabric, depending on your affinity for handmade randomness and your expectations.

Width is 40 inches.

The weight of a one yard length of fabric is about 9.5 oz/270 grams...not to be confused with the Fabric Weight which is calculated from a square yard or meter (more about the density of the weave and yarn).

To facilitate packing and shipping, fabric lengths of this fabric will have a maximum length of 18 yards. That is, if you purchase 18+ yards, you will receive two sections of fabric.
