The front of the pillow is made from a handwoven and laboriously hand batiked raw hemp. The back of the pillow is made from a wonderful handwoven striped raw hemp/cotton mix in neutral beige and cream on the weft while the warp (longitudinal threads) is in deep indigo blue cotton. Please note that the raw hemp has a fairly loose weave and a naturally rougher texture/finish. Handling it gives a very tactile, organic (as in "of nature)" experience.

Pillow dimensions are 14 inches wide x 30 inches tall. Because of the particular handmade/handwoven characteristics, dimensions are intended as plus or minus half an inch.

This pillow is available with either the striped gray hemp backing as in the first 4 photos or also in the banded cream hemp/cotton mix fabric shown in the last photo. Please choose your option below.

In addition, it is available in a 14 x 22 inch version in a different listing and can be found by searching in the shop under "SUN9."

This pillow has an interlining/fusing applied to the rearside of both the front and back materials to maintain fabric integrity and smashing good looks, and a top-of-the-line, YKK-zippered, fill opening for strength and durability . In addition, all fabric joints have been serged/overlocked to properly seal the edges, prevent fraying, and provide a crisp, clean finish.

Included, at no extra charge, is a ready-to-go, properly-sized, insert/pillow form filled with the finest, softest, most expensive poly fill in existence, hypo-allergenic and NO FOWL HARMED in the process. It will arrive compressed, and after an unpacking and quick fluff-up, it can be tucked into your pillow cover and…DONE: your new pillow is lazing pretty on the divan. And you have endured no extra trips or trouble or time wasted hunting the proper insert and no added expense. Note that the insert has a 7-inch, YKK-zippered, opening so you may add or remove fill as you desire.

Please note that the handwoven fabrics used in this pillow may have some aberrations such as pulled threads or aberrations in the weaving.
