The front fabric is handwoven by a Karen tribe weaver, the largest ethnic minority group in Thailand. The coloring is from natural dyes, not chemical, and the embroidered decorations and added seeds (both Job's tears and the other, long cylindrical one of which I don't know the name) are also naturally colored and hand sewn. The tassels are extra long and groovy. A rare and unique find.

The back of the pillow is constructed from unbleached, 100% cotton, neutral/off-white, cream colored fabric with woven black striping and a sturdy, rustic hand feel. It can have naturally occurring ripples and eddies adding to the country-rustic feel. 

Pillow dimensions are 36 inches wide x 14 inches tall. Because of the particular handmade/handwoven characteristics, dimensions are intended as plus or minus half an inch.

The two pillows for sale are mirror images of each other. One has the tassels on the right and the other on the left.

This pillow has an interlining/fusing applied to the rear-side of both the front and back materials to maintain fabric integrity and smashing good looks, and a top-of-the-line, YKK-zippered, fill opening for strength and durability. In addition, all fabric joints have been serged/overlocked to properly seal the edges, prevent fraying, and provide a crisp, clean finish. The last photo(s) shows the professional finish of the inside of all our pillows.

The cotton in these pillow cases is colored using natural, organic, vegetable dyes. This is a more expensive and time-consuming process than using chemical dyes but results in the enchanting character and soft hues of the colors you see in the photos.

Note that the handwoven textiles used in this pillow may have some aberrations such as wonky threads or other anomalies in the weaving/embroidery.
