Riveting scenes of mountain folk amassing and beasts of jungle and burden squawking and gawking.

I was excited to find some of these more elaborately embroidered blankets with the spartan color schemes...only 3. A black and dark gray for the figures and a vibrant pink base fabric. 

The blanket has a handwoven cotton base which is then hand embroidered also in cotton. It takes months to complete.

Being handmade, some slight imperfections in the weaving and color are normal and to be expected. The embroidery is so time consuming that they are done in multiple stages, taken out and worked on and then put away again with this process repeated multiple times, giving ample opportunity for them to encounter dirt from the surrounding environment. Some lighter blankets are more prone to these slight marks, scars, small stains, and sometimes pen around the figures...testimony to the jungle living conditions and a naif art badge. This is why we love handmade!

The dimensions are 80 in x 38 in. without the fringe.
