Lumbar throw pillow, tan white brown abstract swirl batik hemp tribal textile handwoven ethnic fabric, decorative cushion 14 x 22 inch TT16

The front of the pillow is made from a handwoven and laboriously hand batiked raw hemp. The back of the pillow is made from a wonderful handwoven striped raw hemp/cotton mix in neutral beige and cream on the weft while the warp (longitudinal threads) is in deep indigo blue cotton. Please note that the raw hemp has a fairly loose weave and a naturally rougher texture/finish. Handling it gives a very tactile, organic (as in "of nature)" experience.

Pillow dimensions are 14 inches wide x 22 inches tall. Because of the particular handmade/handwoven characteristics, dimensions are intended as plus or minus half an inch.

This pillow is available with either the banded cream hemp/cotton mix backing as in the first 4 photos and also in the striped gray hemp fabric shown in the last photo. Please choose your option below.

In addition, it is available in a 14 x 30 inch version in a different listing and can be found by searching in the shop under "TT11."

This pillow has an interlining/fusing applied to the rearside of both the front and back materials to maintain fabric integrity and smashing good looks, and a top-of-the-line, YKK-zippered, fill opening for strength and durability . In addition, all fabric joints have been serged/overlocked to properly seal the edges, prevent fraying, and provide a crisp, clean finish.

Included is a properly-sized, insert/pillow form at no extra charge. It is un-stuffed, and has a 7 inch YKK zippered opening so you can fill the insert as full (or not) as you want with a material of your choice: down feathers, poly-fill, the torn up Sunday Gazette... No searching for or worrying about the correct insert. We've taken that guess-work away and put the plumpness-control back in your hands.

Please note that the handwoven fabrics used in this pillow may have some aberrations such as pulled threads or aberrations in the weaving.
