Vintage tribal tapestry, Laos ethnic textile TaiYai tribal cotton silk blanket Pha Hom Southeast Asia indigo blue sepia baby carrier OB170

Traditional hand-loomed cotton blanket from the Tai Yai people of Laos. Fantastical geometric pattern with thick dense weaving. Beautiful deep dark indigo on a sepia background. The traditional red border is in silk. The backing is a rustic, handwoven cotton in indigo.

The total dimensions of the blanket are 66 x 38 inches. The dimensions of the design alone are 72 x 38 inches.

This is a vintage item that has been used in everyday life. Accordingly, there are some pulled threads and some wear and tear is to be expected, as well as some light staining. All in all, I think it's in fantastic shape and all the aforementioned "defects", for me, only add to the overall feel of the textile, to the intrigue and story. I would rather this mysterious vintage quality than a new item.
