A small, hand woven (on a narrow back-strap loom worn around the back of the body and extended using the feet) traditional Chin tribal textile from Burma. Striking dark brown geometric woven cotton pattern on a tan/natural hemp support. The material has quite a sturdy hand feel to it and is somewhat rigid. This is partly due to it's new and unwashed condition and with use it will undoubtedly soften. Great for pillows or bags. Equally fetching on a table as a placemat or under a lamp.

The dimensions are 17 in. x 11.5 in. not including the fringe. Condition is new but being a handwoven "in the jungle" item, some aberrations in the weaving are likely to be present.
